Salford punks Gnod are aiming their intense, abrasive music at Brighton’s Green Door Store this month. After releasing their latest album Just Say No To the Psycho Right-Wing Capitalist Fascist Industrial Death Machine (a mouthful I know) in March, the band have made their mission statement strong and it comes with some great tunes. This will surely be a live experience set to blow away any cobwebs before the rest of the month’s great gigs, as well as The Great Escape coming up later on.

US band Hoops will be making their way over to the Brighton shores to play at the famed Green Door Store. The band play fast paced psychedelic music, think Tame Impala but fronted by hyperactive teens and you’ll have a close bet to their sound. They’ve been around for a few years now and are gearing up to release their first full length debut via Fat Possum Records. They’ve been teasing the new release with a selection of singles which are available to stream but for now catch them live whilst they’re in the UK, it’ll be a show not to miss!

Rat Columns – The Hope & Ruin – 10/05/2017

Hot off the back of their latest release Candle Power, Australian group Rat Columns will be playing The Hope & Ruin in a special event in celebration of them signing to Upset The Rhythm. Candle Power has been garnering a decent amount of attention and sees the band sounding at their most refined. It’s pop inspired guitar music done incredibly well and keeping as certain amount of psychedelic tinge. It’s sure to be a great show and a nice celebration for the band as well and will be housed perfectly by The Hope & Ruin. Don’t miss this one!
